Here at The Arc of Northern Shenandoah Valley, we know a lot about intellectual and developmental disabilities. But even more so, we know how to help our our friends with developmental disabilities live a life like yours. A life that includes friendships, earning a paycheck, being included and having a voice. Since 1967, The Arc of Northern Shenandoah Valley has supported individuals and families impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities enjoy, serve and participate in their communities. Through advocacy, education and collaboration, we will continue to serve families in achieving their goals, no matter how large or small.
How We Serve
Our advocacy services include coaching families, developing systems of support, representing the interests of families impacted by developmental disabilities during legislative sessions.
We serve families through educational opportunities including workshops, self-guided trainings, 60 second seminars and one-to-one meetings with parents.
We collaborate with local providers including special education advisory committees, occupational therapists, ABA providers and more.
